Russian Towers is an independent owner and operator of telecommunications towers serving mobile communications companies and other radio based operators.

Founded by experienced professionals in the Russian telecommunications industry with equity financing from UFG asset management and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the company develops new telecommunications tower infrastructure and purchases existing infrastructure from operators.

Russian Towers has long-term contracts with its customers assuring them of predictable costs over an extended planning horizon. By using our towers customers may expand their networks quickly and efficiently, freeing them from the burden of developing, maintaining and operating passive tower infrastructure.

The mobile market is well established in Russia with penetration of over 100%. A large portion of network expansion is currently targeted for capacity needs as opposed to increased geographic coverage. There is no competitive advantage to be gained by an operator investing in and owning single operator towers built to increase network capacity. It is far more efficient for an independent tower company to construct new towers and lease space to multiple operators reducing the cost burden for all.

As network data loads expand at double digit rates capacity expansion becomes increasingly burdensome for operators. Russian Towers helps to lessen the investment required to keep-up with the growing network load. This allows the operators to focus on what is important - market differentiation, service offerings, ARPU, margin, profitability, quantity of clients and diversification of services.

Russian Towers helps operators to maximise the returns achievable from their capital expenditures budgets by allowing investments to be focused on active elements of the network that produce revenue.
